But I don't understand the selection criteria for the southern California trips. A large percent of the routes selected for that part of the state are not remote, easily done as day hikes, and covered by various day hiking guides. But there is not one trip for the significant Los Padres National Forest backcountry in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, which has longer and more remote trails not reachable by day hiking and not heavily covered by other guides.
